The three-day event exposes area eighth graders to careers through hands-on exhibits at the BancorpSouth Arena. Volunteer tasks include registering visitors, providing expo information, distributing caps and bags, restocking hats and bags, greeting and managing school buses, greeting students and guests, directing students to arena floor, making announcements, guiding students to the entrances and exits, and maintaining the flow of students. All volunteers will be provided with a T-shirt at check-in. Volunteers will also be provided with breakfast or lunch as well as drinks during breaks at the BancorpSouth Conference Center. Volunteers are especially needed for Thursday, Oct. 6. The deadline to sign up to volunteer is Sept. 30. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Albine Bennett at 844-8989.
